Club Kids: Laila Sakini

Co-presented with Day Care

Club Kids returns in 2016 for Melbourne Music Week, ensuring that music lovers of all ages can connect with their inner-beats.
Queen’s Hall at the State Library Victoria will bring to life the children’s classic Where The Wild Things Are. Make a crown just like Max’s, create your very-own hand puppets, and get your face painted Ziggy Stardust-style.
Musician Laila Sakini will introduce a new generation to electronic grooves. Following Laila’s set, Conrad Standish of Standish/Carlyon and Devastations keeps the fun times going with tunes to get both the big and little feet moving.
Festivities begin with book readings by Dr Lucy Van of the University of Melbourne and Cordite Poetry Review, who will share some of her all-time favourite children’s stories.
