Co-presented with State Library Victoria
Dan Warner digs deep to discover the real stories of Melbourne live music icon and cartoonist Fred Negro.
Together with Fred, the pair will discuss the music, artwork and mayhem behind the St Kilda scene in the 1980s, 1990s, noughties and beyond.
Presenting images of Fred’s work, found in the State Library Victoria collection, they will unpick the legend behind the image. Each story will result in musical magic as Dan and Fred spontaneously create a song to illustrate the story, with the help of the Fred Negro house band.
