We chatted to Baro, Big Words, ESESE, Nasty Mars & The Martians about all things music. Here's what went down...
MMW: "What's the best part about being in the Melbourne music scene?"
Big Words: "Connecting with people that I probably wouldn't have unless I was playing music. Pretty much everyone here I met through playing music."
MMW: "What message do you spread through your music?"
Nasty Mars & The Martians: "The most important thing to do, is spread love."
MMW: "What's the most awkward moment you've had on stage?"
Nasty Mars & The Martians: "We were doing backpack up vocals, and we both went to the same mic. It looked like we were going to kiss."
MMW: "Who are you excited to see at Melbourne Music Week?"
"Sampa The Great, Silent Jay and Kirkis with the Melbourne Gospel Choir."
MMW: "Have you all played together before?"
Baro: "We've never played together. This is our first time playing
MMW: "What are you trying to do with your music?"
Big Words: "I spread love through my music. I think that through all of the things that go on, the only thing that overcomes anything is love..."
MMW: "Who would you like to collaborate with dead or alive?"
ESESE: "I think it would be cool to work with someone like Bill Evans. Having said that, I would also like to just go to Latin America and get deep into salsa."
"...And spreading love through music, is educating people that it's ok to love and to not be scared and not react in fear."
